April 2024: The bees are just waking up in the northern hemisphere, so it will be a few months before 2024 honey is ready, but most apiaries have plenty from the last season in stock

Then we’ll take a look at the various equipment used in both modern and ancient beekeeping. Using an observation hive we’ll discuss the lifecycle of the honeybee, how and why they make honey, and why bees swarm. Get hands on with a Hive Inspection. You'll suit up in protective gear and get up close and personal with the bees, getting hands-on experience with beekeeping techniques.
